European Alcohol and Health forum
The EU Alcohol and Health Forum is a platform established and chaired by the European Commission where bodies active at European level can debate, compare approaches and act to tackle alcohol related harm.
The Forum was officially launched in June 2007, and it gathers ever since various business organizations and NGOs.
To become members of the European Alcohol and Health Forum organisations must meet certain requirements and make one or more specific commitments for action. Actions are to be put into effect between 2008 and 2011.
The AICV commitment to the Forum consists of provision of online information about our products and their safe consumption, as well as of encouragement for the national associations to develop online messages on social responsibilities.
The AICV is also the signatory of the EFRD (European Forum for Responsible Drinking) guidelines on commercial communication on the internet, for digital and mobile marketing media.
